Rutland, Vermont is a drive — from pretty much anywhere in upstate New York — but Punch Brothers is exactly the kind of band that makes you pack the car and go. The Grammy-winning acoustic quintet brings their 2026 North American tour to the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, November 8, with lobby doors opening at 6:00 PM, seating beginning at 6:30, and showtime at 7:00.
About Punch Brothers
Formed in 2006 by mandolinist Chris Thile, Punch Brothers currently features Chris Eldridge on guitar, Paul Kowert on bass, Noam Pikelny on banjo, and Brittany Haas on violin. They have been described as taking “bluegrass to its next evolutionary stage” — which sounds like marketing until you actually see them play. The band won a Grammy for Best Folk Album for All Ashore (2018) and has built one of the most devoted followings in acoustic music.
This fall stop comes just months ahead of their seventh album, The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers, releasing July 24, 2026 — their first all-instrumental record. The band also produces The Energy Curfew Music Hour podcast, which earned a Webby Award nomination for Season One. They consistently show up as artists doing more than just touring, and the live show is where all of it comes together.
The Venue
The Paramount Theatre in Rutland, VT holds 838 seats. For an acoustic group this caliber, that kind of room size matters — close enough that the interplay between five instruments lands the way it’s supposed to. Check paramountvt.org for venue access details and directions before you head out.
