Mike Super: Magic & Illusion at Riviera Theatre | February 6, 2027

By Meg Andersen · July 19, 2026

At a Mike Super show, someone in the audience is going to levitate. They won’t know how it happened afterward, and the people sitting next to them won’t either. That participatory approach, where audience members become unwitting participants rather than passive witnesses, has taken Super from Radio City Music Hall to Madison Square Garden, and on Saturday, February 6, it arrives at the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda.

About the Show

Super holds a distinction that belongs to him alone: he is the only magician in history to have won a live magic competition on primetime US network television. He took the title on NBC’s Phenomenon, voted winner by the American public from a field of ten competitors worldwide, earning $250,000 and a touring career that has expanded since. His America’s Got Talent run reached the finals; Nick Cannon called him “the most original magician the show had ever experienced.” On Penn & Teller: Fool Us, he predicted Powerball numbers using state-verified lottery tickets. He has also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where DeGeneres called him “truly unbelievable.”

He is a two-time Performing Arts Entertainer of the Year from the International Magicians Society and holds the Merlin Award, placing him in company with David Copperfield, Siegfried & Roy, and Criss Angel. He first encountered magic as a child watching a close-up performer at Walt Disney World; Disney has since called him “the best of the best.”

The show at the Riviera is billed as three productions in one: jaw-dropping illusions, quick-witted comedy, and concert-style digital entertainment. It is marketed as coming “straight from your TV to the theatre stage,” a live translation of the television appearances that built Super’s national profile. Audience members become direct participants in levitation and disappearing acts, often without understanding how the illusions worked after the fact; prior performances at other performing arts centers have sold out. The show runs approximately 90 minutes and plays to all ages. Super conducts meet-and-greets after every performance — he has described it as his favorite part of any show. This is a return engagement at the Riviera: Super played the same stage in December 2024.
