Kingston’s UPAC is a 1,500-seat theater that earns its place on the Hudson Valley’s live-event circuit. On Wednesday, January 20, 2027, it hosts the United European Ballet Company’s production of Swan Lake — Tchaikovsky’s most recognizable score, staged with 40 professional dancers, hand-painted sets, and costumes by European designers. About Swan Lake
This is the full Swan Lake experience — two acts, one intermission, and Odile’s technically demanding 32 fouetté turns intact. The cast is genuinely international: principal dancers from Ukraine alongside artists representing Italy, Spain, Japan, Brazil, and more than a dozen other countries, all graduates of prestigious choreographic schools. The choreography follows the Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov version — the one you know — with over 200 custom-designed scenery elements building out the world of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette. The production team calls it “a powerful Broadway-style production,” and the scale backs that up.
If you are bringing kids, this is a solid choice. The production is rated family-friendly for ages 3 and up, which makes it one of the easier sells in the household.

UPAC sits at 601 Broadway in Kingston, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. The theater holds 1,500, so it is an intimate-enough room that sight lines from most seats are going to work. One thing worth knowing before you go: there is no elevator in the building.
