Bingo Loco has spent nearly a decade proving that a bingo card and a CO2 cannon can sustain a three-hour party. After selling out in more than 200 cities across four continents — London, Dubai, Sydney, and a growing stretch of U.S. and Canadian markets — the Dublin-born show arrives at Empire Live in Albany on Saturday, November 21, at 7 p.m.
About the Show
Bingo Loco was founded in 2017 by Craig Reynolds, Will Meara, and Stephen Lawless, three veterans of the nightlife and music festival industry who built it into the number-one selling event in Ireland before taking it global. The show now reaches roughly 350,000 attendees per year across its touring markets. The format runs three bingo games per show, but calling it a bingo show undersells the production significantly: comedian MCs run the room between rounds, a live DJ sustains festival-level energy throughout, and the evening includes dancers, confetti showers, CO2 cannons, rave rounds, lip-sync battles, and conga lines that pull the crowd directly into the action. The whole thing runs approximately two and a half to three hours.
The music spans 80s, 90s, and early 2000s throwbacks — the production’s own shorthand is ABBA to Britney Spears — and the prize list across the tour has included cruise packages, trips to Las Vegas, Coachella packages, inflatable flamingos, fridges, pianos, lawnmowers, and microwaves. The production describes itself as “a show with the mentality of a theatre performance and the energy of a festival,” and the U.S. expansion — launched with sold-out runs in New York and Miami before extending to Los Angeles and beyond — has held up that description.
The production’s own guidance recommends arriving 60 to 90 minutes before showtime. An interactive show built around audience participation moves faster when the room is already in it; plan accordingly.
Venue & Logistics
Empire Live is a standing-room venue on North Pearl Street in downtown Albany and a regular anchor of the Capital Region’s live music calendar. The venue books rock, metal, hip-hop, country, and electronic acts across the year, which makes it well-suited for a production that does not fit neatly into a single genre. The standing-room format also works in the show’s favor: Bingo Loco is built around audience movement, and a crowd that can move is a crowd that participates.
