Here is the thing about Niagara Falls as a show destination: the drive alone is worth planning around. Coming in from Syracuse you are looking at about two hours on the Thruway, and if you time it right you can make an evening of it before the 8:00 PM start. That is not a bad pre-show ritual.
The show itself is Arrival From Sweden: The Music of ABBA — Friday, September 18, 2026 at 8:00 PM inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Event Center. And before you write this off as a cover band night, read a little further.
Arrival From Sweden is not your typical tribute act. Founded in 1995 by Vicky Zetterberg in Gothenburg, the group has toured more than 70 countries and completed 82 successful North American tours. They have played Red Rocks Amphitheatre for 10 consecutive years starting in 2007. The 10-to-12-piece ensemble uses arrangements written by Rutger Gunnarsson — ABBA’s own original string arranger and bassist — and Tommy Hansson, working directly from ABBA’s original compositions. Actual ABBA session musicians are available to appear with the group by special request.
The headline credential, though, is this: Arrival From Sweden is the only group that Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson trusted with a previously unreleased ABBA song. They received “Just A Notion” directly from the composers and premiered it in 1999 — more than two decades before ABBA officially released it in 2021. That is not a tribute band fact. That is a music history fact.
The Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Event Center holds 2,200 people and sits in the heart of Buffalo / Western NY. At this size you are close enough to feel the show — not a stadium, not a bar. The casino circuit in this part of the state is genuinely underrated for live music, and Seneca Niagara is one of the better rooms on it.
