Breaking Benjamin’s last headlining night in Albany was Dec. 10, 2018 — a co-headline with Five Finger Death Punch at what was still the Times Union Center, with In Flames and From Ashes to New filling out the bill. Their return, on Wednesday, March 3, 2027 at MVP Arena, arrives in the 25th-anniversary year of debut album “Saturate” and on the back of “Something Wicked,” their ninth career No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Albany is the only New York date on the tour.
About the Show
The Pennsylvania-based band, with Benjamin Burnley (vocals), Jasen Rauch (guitar), Keith Wallen (guitar/backing vocals), and Aaron Bruch (bass/backing vocals), headlines a bill worth its billing: Starset as special guest, with P.O.D. and Filter in support (Filter sits out the final Atlantic City date on March 12). The 16-date Live Nation run spans Feb. 16 through March 12, working through the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast before wrapping in New Jersey. “Something Wicked,” their current single, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, the band’s ninth career chart-topper, accumulating nearly 15 million global streams and topping both Apple Music and iTunes Rock charts in its debut week. It follows 2024’s “Awaken,” which surpassed 133 million streams worldwide after the band’s five-year recording hiatus from 2018’s “Ember.” The band is currently developing the follow-up to Ember. With 8.5 billion combined career streams and multiple platinum certifications, Breaking Benjamin has never been a band that required critical rehabilitation; the audience has been there, consistently. The 2027 tour carries both anniversary weight and genuine current-cycle momentum, a less common combination than the reunion circuit tends to produce.
