The Bronx Wanderers at Universal Preservation Hall | May 7, 2027

By Tanya Reeves · October 15, 2026

For 35 years, Vinny Adinolfi built other people’s legacies. He worked the producer’s chair, the publisher’s office, the label executive’s suite — alongside Jim Croce, The Spinners, Reba McEntire, and Tony Orlando. His name never appeared on the marquee. Then Chazz Palminteri told him to stop watching from the wings and put his sons in the band. What came next was The Bronx Wanderers: a family road show now two decades deep, with 2,000 Las Vegas performances behind them and a date at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs on Friday, May 7, 2027.

About the Show

The five-piece centers on Vinny Sr. (“Papa Vinny” to the devoted) on lead vocals, his son Vincent John as musical director (keyboards, guitar, vocals), and younger son Nick on drums. Fernando Tort (bass) and Joe Bari (saxophone, keyboards) complete the lineup; both grew up playing music in the Adinolfi home. The band has been performing together for 20 years, and the family chemistry at the center of the act is what fans who have seen them dozens of times still describe first.

The 90-minute production is part concert, part comedy, part autobiography — Vinny’s career in the music business woven into a setlist that runs from Dion and Frankie Valli through Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Bruno Mars, with audience participation built into the set. Vincent John says they “constantly tweak things, add new stories, and change the setlist from night to night.” His description of the energy is characteristically direct: “If yacht rock is an afternoon on the lake, then The Bronx Wanderers is a New York City block party.”

The resume backs up the claim. Since arriving in Las Vegas in 2011, the band has logged 2,000 shows and built a residency at South Point Hotel & Casino Showroom. They’ve won the Best of Las Vegas Award 12 times and been inducted into the East Coast Music Hall of Fame. Some fans have attended more than 200 of their performances. Wayne Newton, a tireless supporter over the years, presented Vinny with a duplicate of Frank Sinatra’s gold bracelet. Palminteri, who first encouraged Vinny to form the group, keeps the praise straightforward: “Whenever I’m in New York I stop at two places…then find where the Bronx Wanderers are playing.”
