Twenty years ago, Corinne Bailey Rae released a debut album that felt like it came from somewhere quieter and more honest than most of what was on the radio. On Friday, June 5, 2026, she brings that voice — and everything it has grown into — to Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
About Corinne Bailey Rae
The 2026 tour marks the 20th anniversary of Bailey Rae’s self-titled debut, the record that gave the world “Put Your Records On” and “Like a Star.” Those songs earned Grammy nominations, went multi-platinum, and still show up in playlists in a way that suggests they’ve never really left. The Leeds-born singer-songwriter blends soul, pop, and jazz in a way that sounds effortless — until you sit with it long enough to notice how much is actually happening.
Bailey Rae’s catalog has deepened considerably since that first record. Her work has moved through grief, reinvention, and textures that have little to do with the acoustic warmth of 2006 — which makes her a far more interesting live act than the nostalgia angle alone would suggest. If you want to get acquainted or revisit before the show, her catalog is on Amazon.
The Venue
Universal Preservation Hall is one of the better rooms in the Capital Region for this kind of show. The Great Hall in Saratoga Springs has the acoustics to handle every shade of Bailey Rae’s voice — the airy upper register, the low-end warmth — without losing anything. It is an intimate room. You will not be far from the stage. VIP experiences are available for this performance.
