Dave Matthews Band at SPAC | July 17, 2026

By Eli Thorne · March 16, 2026

Dave Matthews Band’s two-night Saratoga Springs stand on July 17 and 18, 2026 will mark the group’s 50th headline performance at SPAC — a milestone that tells you almost everything you need to know about how this relationship works. No other touring act has logged that kind of mileage at the Albany Med Health System at SPAC, and the band’s annual return has been, for the better part of two decades, the unofficial start of the upstate summer touring calendar.

Friday, July 17 is Night 1 of the run, with showtime at 7:30 PM. It is part of the band’s 2026 U.S. Tour, branded as the On The Road to Zero Waste Tour — a continuation of the long-running REVERB and Nature Conservancy partnerships that, by the end of this leg, are set to reach a milestone of seven million trees planted across the program’s lifespan. That sustainability framing is the kind of language tour publicists love, but in DMB’s case the program has actually outlasted half the venues they have played.

About Dave Matthews Band

Pollstar lists the band as the highest-charting American headliner on its 25 Most Popular Touring Artists of the Millennium — a ranking earned through exactly this kind of repeatable, deep-engagement run, where a relatively small number of venues do most of the heavy lifting year over year. SPAC is one of those venues; few rooms in the country can claim a 50-show headlining history with a single band still actively touring at scale.

Stephen Wilson Jr. and Sierra Hull are listed as touring openers for the 2026 leg, though regional outlets have been careful to note that the undercard for the New York and Connecticut dates may shift. Treat the Friday support slot as TBD until SPAC confirms.

The Venue

SPAC, with its 5,200 sheltered seats and roughly 20,000 lawn spots, was built for nights like this one. The covered house catches the band’s quieter material — and DMB does not play short sets — while the lawn does what the SPAC lawn always does: turns into a small festival of its own, blankets and folding chairs and the smell of charcoal drifting up from the picnic grounds. Sightlines from the back rows aren’t the point up there. The sound is, and SPAC’s open shed throws it cleanly. The amphitheater sits inside the Capital Region calendar as the headline summer destination, and a DMB weekend is the surest sign the season has actually started.

Tickets & On-Sale

DMB Warehouse fan-association members had first access during the January 27 presale; the general on-sale opened February 20 via Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Two-day lawn passes were offered for the Friday-Saturday pair, which is the right play for anyone planning to do the full run rather than picking a single night.
