The bass music that Eric Ray and Andrew Principe make as Eazybaked goes places most producers won’t follow — “unfiltered, spatial, and emotionally exposed,” the duo calls it, and a sold-out headline at Denver’s Ogden Theatre suggests the crowd has been finding it. They bring that sound to Buffalo on Friday, November 6, co-headlining with Toronto’s Distinct Motive at Town Ballroom.

Ray and Principe have been friends since third grade, came up through the Lost Dogz collective, and quit their day jobs simultaneously to pursue music full-time. “We wanted to bring people together to listen to weird sounds and do weird things,” Ray said in an interview. Their catalog earns the description. Deadbeats Records, which has released several of their tracks, describes the duo as having “become a household name across the nationwide Bass scene by pushing underground music and its sonic boundaries.” Red Light Management characterizes their approach as “low-end driven but patient. Experimental but rooted.”
Their 2022 debut album INTERTWINED established the blueprint. The 2025 EP RESPAWN is described as their most introspective work to date, and a new LP, The Antennae, is forthcoming. Releases on Deadbeats, HypnoVizion, Memory Palace, and Bassrush Records have drawn support from Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and NGHTMRE, with coverage from UKF, Beatport, and EDM.com. Live, they’ve played Red Rocks, Electric Forest, EDC Orlando, and Shambhala Festival’s 25th anniversary.
Distinct Motive brings a complementary edge. The Toronto producer specializes in “explorative, visceral bass music,” drawing from dubstep’s early aesthetic with a dark, minimal production style that has found audiences across North America and Europe. Special guest rSUN rounds out the bill.
Venue & Logistics
Town Ballroom is on South Main Street in Buffalo. It’s a 1,000-capacity standing-room floor, and for a co-headline pairing built around two acts who take bass music seriously as composition, a room where you feel the low end in the floor is the whole point. Doors at 8 p.m. This show is 18+ and a government-issued ID is required.
