Elvis: A Christmas Special with Pete Paquette at Brockville Arts Centre | December 10, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · July 29, 2026

Pete Paquette was eight years old when a VHS compilation featuring Elvis Presley’s Comeback Special settled something in him permanently. That early fixation became a career: Paquette is now Canada’s premier Elvis tribute artist, a multi-award-winning performer and two-time champion of the Collingwood Elvis Festival who has toured nearly every Canadian province with shows he produces himself. The holiday chapter of that catalog, Elvis: A Christmas Special, comes to the Brockville Arts Centre on Thursday, December 10.

About the Show

Paquette performs with the Rockin’ Royals, his backing band, alongside the Tonettes, a group of vocalists who fill out the fuller arrangements that defined Elvis’s Christmas recordings. The set draws from the King’s holiday catalog: “Blue Christmas,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and “The Wonderful World of Christmas” are among the confirmed titles, along with additional holiday material chosen, as Paquette puts it, from his personal favorites. The Brockville show is part of a 2026 Ontario tour spanning eleven cities, running from Owen Sound on December 4 through Chatham on December 19.

Paquette’s approach to the material sets him apart from the more imitative end of the tribute circuit. He introduces songs in his own voice rather than staying in character throughout, incorporates original arrangements, and has described the show as “very youthful” — language that reads as a deliberate philosophy about serving the music rather than just the mythology. He grew up near Ottawa, where French was his first language, and studied music at Carleton University before building what has become a recurring holiday production at Ontario performing arts venues. Shenkman Arts Centre in Ottawa billed him as “the incredible showman… returning this Holiday season” for the same tour’s December 8 and 9 stops, two days before the Brockville date.

Venue & Logistics

The Brockville Arts Centre is a 700-seat theater at 235 King Street West in the north country. It is a well-scaled room for staged tribute work: large enough to accommodate full production, close enough that the band registers as an ensemble rather than a backdrop. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. curtain; the show runs through approximately 9 p.m. Complementary tickets are available for support workers through the box office on a first-come, first-served basis; Access Card is accepted. All ages.
