Here is what the Sunday night math looks like: doors at 5:30, four bands on the bill, and a tour built around an album that aged a decade without losing a single edge. If you are driving to Albany for a metalcore show this fall, this one is worth the trip.
About Erra
Erra is a progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. They have built a catalog that pairs technical complexity — djent-influenced riffing, odd-time signatures — with melodic songwriting that actually lands. The Drift Outlives the Earth tour celebrates the 10th anniversary of their 2016 album Drift, the record that pushed them beyond the dedicated metalcore audience.
This is not a pure nostalgia run. The set pairs Drift material with songs from Silence Outlives the Earth, their seventh full-length released March 2026, and the reviews have been some of the best of their career — critics called it a reminder of “how high the ceiling for modern metalcore can still be.” Darker and more personal than their previous work, with standout tracks including “Gore of Being” and the emotionally grounded “Black Cloud.”
Supporting: Vianova (Berlin, nu-metal/metalcore), Chamber (Nashville — they describe their own sound as “psychotic mosh metal”), and Resolve (France, metalcore). All ages. Showtime 6:30 PM.
About Empire Live
Empire Live at 93 N. Pearl Street is the room Albany needed — 1,000-capacity standing room that sits between the clubs and the arena. For heavy music especially, the sightlines and PA do the work. Sound sweet spot is center floor, 15–20 feet back. Bring earplugs.
Pre-show, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen is next door at 79 N. Pearl Street and stays open late — it is the default gathering spot before shows here. No venue parking lot: street parking is free after 5 PM but goes fast on sold-out nights. MVP Arena Garage on Market Street is $8. Rideshare drops off directly on North Pearl.
Tickets
Tickets are expected to run $29 GA advance, $34 day of show — check the link for current pricing. All ages. Get tickets on Ticketmaster.
