Here is the play for Labor Day weekend opener: Southpaw FLHC at Empire Underground, Friday, September 4 at 6:30 PM. The Florida hardcore outfit drops their debut full-length The Standard on Spinefarm Records July 31 — and this Albany stop lands five weeks later, which means you are catching them right as the record hits the road for the first time.
About Southpaw FLHC
The four-piece — Daryn LaMontagne (vocals), Alan King (guitar), Marc Laroche (bass), and Harrison Linder (drums) — has built a serious live reputation on a sound that crosses hardcore with punk, metal, and hip-hop influences. Their messaging centers on self-empowerment and perseverance; the band said it themselves: “All gas, no brakes. Driven by hunger, discipline, and a relentless passion for the love of the game.” That energy hits differently in a 350-cap room.
Lead single “Rolling Stone” — written in honor of LaMontagne’s grandfather, leaning into the reality of life on the road while chasing purpose — sets the tone for what The Standard is going to be: personal, urgent, and built for volume. Arcline opens the full tour.
The Standard Tour runs 28 dates from August 18 through September 17, hitting the South, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast. Albany is the Northeast stop.
