Empire Underground has earned its spot as one of the Capital District‘s go-to rooms for this kind of show — 500 capacity on North Pearl Street, right in the heart of downtown Albany, the kind of club where the crowd and the stage are genuinely close. On Thursday, September 10, Massachusetts metalcore act Wind Walkers bring their I Don’t Belong Here Tour to town, with support from If Not for Me and True North. Show time is 7:30 PM.
About Wind Walkers
Wind Walkers have been building something for about a decade in the Massachusetts scene, but the last few years — since vocalist Trevor Borg joined in 2023 — feel like a genuine leveling up. Their 2025 EP I Don’t Belong Here, out on Fearless Records, landed with real critical traction: an 8.5/10 from Front of the Stage and 4.5 out of 5 stars from Spill Magazine, and Borg has confirmed that all six tracks are spinning on SiriusXM.
The EP is six tracks, under 20 minutes, no filler. It blends post-hardcore intensity with melodic hooks and glitchy electronic textures — the kind of record that gets described as “tighter, sharper, and more self-assured” than anything they have made before. The themes run deep: inherited trauma, fractured identity, self-doubt. Lead single “Silk & Static” grew out of Borg working through a recent ADHD diagnosis, and it hits accordingly.
The full band — Borg on vocals, Timothy Comeau and Neil Comeau on guitar, Craig Martin on bass, and Ethan Cheesman on drums — came off touring Japan with CVLTE last fall and supporting Our Last Night’s final North American run in 2025. The I Don’t Belong Here Tour takes them through major U.S. markets before UK and Belgium dates in January 2027 supporting Wage War. Albany opens this leg.
