Here is the thing about a Joe Bonamassa show at the Landmark: the man is from Utica. This is not a touring act passing through Central New York — this is someone coming home. He plays the Landmark Theatre on Friday, February 26, 2027, with showtime at 8:00 PM and the set expected to run close to three hours.
If you have been on the fence about making the drive to Syracuse for this one, stop deliberating.
About Joe Bonamassa
Bonamassa grew up in New Hartford, picked up the guitar at four years old, and had his own band by twelve. That same year, B.B. King introduced him to an audience and called him “one of a kind. The kind that will be a legend before he’s 25.” Guitar World now calls him “arguably the world’s biggest blues guitarist,” and at this point there is not much room to argue.
His catalog is staggering — 29 number-one albums on the Billboard Blues chart, more than any other artist in history. His 2025 release Breakthrough is Grammy-nominated, adding to five career nominations. He does close to 200 shows a year, at venues like Radio City Music Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Red Rocks, and Carnegie Hall — and when he brings that show back to upstate New York, it lands differently.
He played the Landmark in 2022 and compared it, with genuine affection, to performing at Royal Albert Hall — and the crowd nearly filled the place. His sound runs on British blues-rock his father played in their upstate music shop, turbocharged by decades on the road. The live show is dense, physical, and built to last.
About the Venue
The Landmark Theatre sits at 362 S. Salina Street in downtown Syracuse, with a capacity of 2,908. It is a proper theater — the scale of the room makes a show like this feel like an event. Plan to arrive by 7:15 or so; downtown on a Friday night requires a little extra lead time if you want to get settled before the lights drop. More at landmarktheatre.org.
Tickets & Info
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. Bonamassa’s Central New York dates historically move quickly, and a February Friday at the Landmark is not a ticket you can sit on for long.
