Straight No Chaser at Landmark Theatre | December 1, 2026

By Meg Andersen · May 22, 2026

If you’ve written off a cappella as a college-talent-show thing that never quite grows up, Straight No Chaser’s Making Spirits Bright Tour at the Landmark Theatre on Tuesday, December 1st is going to recalibrate that for you. Show is at 8:00 PM. Get there on time — this crowd does not trickle in late.

About Straight No Chaser

Nine guys. All former Indiana University students. No instruments — just voices filling a room the way instruments wish they could. The group formed in the mid-1990s at IU, and the chapter everyone knows started in 2006, when a 1998 video of their “The 12 Days of Christmas” hit YouTube and went viral before anyone had a word for that. That upload launched a professional career built on two RIAA Gold albums — Holiday Spirits and Christmas Cheers — and a catalog that now includes Holiday Road, their 2025 release.

Current members Walter Chase, Jerome Collins, Seggie Isho, Michael Luginbill, Steve Morgan, Luke Bob Robinson, Jasper Smith, Tyler Trepp, and Freedom Young have collaborated with Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Toto’s David Paich, and accumulated over a billion streams worldwide. The live show runs on the formula that has made this a holiday tradition for families across the country: banter between members who have been performing together for decades, harmonies that arrive out of nowhere and stop a room cold, and a mix of material that covers familiar ground in ways you do not see coming.

Member Seggie Isho said it plainly: “We’ve watched children grow up and bring their children. To become part of their traditions each year — it’s something we never would have imagined when we were college students who wanted to sing at Indiana University.”

The Venue

The Landmark Theatre is at 362 S. Salina Street in downtown Syracuse — a 2,908-seat theater and one of the anchors of the Central NY concert scene. It is the right room for a show that runs on full-voice impact: big enough to let nine singers operate at scale, and built for exactly this kind of production.

Tickets
