Georgi Mottram has sung for Prince Edward at Windsor Castle, debuted at the London Palladium in Camelot, and earned a Classic BRIT Award nomination. On December 14, she brings Winter Enchanted — A Magical West End Christmas Story to Albany’s Palace Theatre for a night that functions as both theatrical spectacle and holiday event, drawing repertoire from Wicked and Frozen to Home Alone and traditional Christmas carols.
About the Show
Mottram, described by ITV as a “classical rising star” and a No.1 Classical chart soprano, leads the production alongside a cast of West End vocalists, professional dancers, aerialists, and fire performers. The show is presented by Flair Entertainment and the Jersey Opera House, a production that has been touring since at least 2024, when it played the Freedom Centre in Jersey. The Albany date is part of a brief U.S. run that also includes a stop in Reading, Pennsylvania on December 16.
Her credentials extend well beyond the holiday billing. Mottram has performed in opera galas alongside Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, appeared on Broadway at 54 Below, and supported Russell Watson and the London Symphony Orchestra at the Proms on Thames. Her West End engagements include the Adelphi Theatre and Charing Cross Theatre in London. A Classic BRIT Award nominee who has performed live on BBC One and Channel 4 and reached No.1 on the classical iTunes charts, she has also sung for royalty at Windsor Castle and at Jersey’s Government House.
The musical program moves through theatrical sources (Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, The Polar Express) and Christmas film territory: Home Alone, A Christmas Story, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Snowman, and traditional holiday classics. The show is family-friendly in its pitch, designed to work for children encountering these songs for the first time alongside adults who know every lyric.
The venue page’s promise of “soaring vocals, exquisite ballet, spellbinding choreography and stunning heartfelt performances” is the standard theatrical promotional register — but a cast whose verified credits include Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle appearances is harder to arrange than most holiday touring productions manage.
