Quinn Sullivan was three years old the first time he stood at a blues festival in New Bedford and watched Dickey Betts play. He received his first guitar soon after. Now 26 and five albums deep, he brings his most personal record yet to a room in Pawling built for exactly this kind of listening.
About the Show
Sullivan comes to Daryl’s House in support of Salvation, his fifth studio album, released in 2024 on Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The record moves from hard rock (“Dark Love”) to R&B inflections (“Once Upon a Lie”) while working through themes of loss, love, and resilience that feel rooted in lived experience. Sullivan has called it his most personal work, a reflection of where he is now. The context for that is worth knowing: he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age six, receiving a Gibson ES-335 that B.B. King and Buddy Guy later signed. He released his debut album at eleven and toured during school vacations. A backstage encounter with Buddy Guy at a concert near his New Bedford home—Guy invited him onstage for the final songs of the show that same night, then took him on tour for approximately a decade—defined much of his musical formation. Sullivan contributed a guitar solo to Guy’s 2008 album Skin Deep. He has also appeared on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Conan. Salvation, the fifth stop on that long road, marks the point where a guitarist who grew up in public is finally making music entirely his own.
Venue & Logistics
Daryl’s House is one of the more interesting rooms in the Hudson Valley: founded by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall and opened in 2014 as a physical extension of his Live from Daryl’s House web series, it sits in Pawling with what the venue calls “a killer sound system and an intimate setting” designed to make guests feel “like you’re chillin’ at Daryl’s actual house.” For a guitarist who has spent years learning to say something with a single note, that intimacy is not incidental—it’s the whole point. Sullivan has played the room before, and it suits him. At 300 capacity, there is nowhere to hide and no reason to. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
