Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band at Bethel Woods | September 25, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · July 7, 2026

There is a particular symmetry to Ringo Starr performing at Bethel Woods — the outdoor amphitheater occupying the hillside where the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival unfolded — that no press release needs to explain. Starr, who turned 86 in July, has announced a ten-date northeastern fall run with His All Starr Band, and the Bethel stop on Friday, September 25 sits at the center of a tour that opens in Pennsylvania and closes, twelve days later, at Albany’s Palace Theatre on October 7.

About Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band

Born Richard Starkey on July 7, 1940, Starr launched the All Starr Band concept in 1989 — an ensemble built around rotating lineups of celebrated musicians, with Starr anchoring the kit and fronting the show. The current edition is among the more compelling assemblies the project has fielded: Steve Lukather and Colin Hay on guitars, Warren Ham on saxophone, Hamish Stuart on bass, Gregg Bissonette on drums, and Buck Johnson on keyboards. Each brings their own catalog to the stage, which is the conceptual engine that prevents these evenings from becoming straightforward nostalgia exercises.

The fall run supports Long Long Road, Starr’s 22nd solo album and second consecutive collaboration with producer T Bone Burnett. Released in April 2026, the record draws on Americana and country, with contributions from Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, Sarah Jarosz, Molly Tuttle, and St. Vincent. It follows 2025’s Look Up — Starr’s first UK number-one album — also produced by Burnett. Starr has been characteristically understated about the partnership: “I’m blessed to have T Bone in my life right now and working with me on these records.” Burnett, less so: “Ringo Starr is a recording artist of the highest caliber.”

Starr holds dual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions — as a Beatle and as a solo artist — and was the first solo Beatle to score seven consecutive Top 10 singles. The biography does not require embellishment.

About Bethel Woods Center for the Arts

Bethel Woods is not simply a large outdoor amphitheater in the Hudson Valley. Located in Sullivan County at 200 Hurd Road in Bethel, the 16,000-capacity venue sits on the actual grounds of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival — a historical weight that no summer booking schedule can make routine. Ringo Starr performing here carries a resonance that requires no promotion copy to land. The venue’s website is bethelwoodscenter.org.
