Kaleo at Higher Ground | July 27, 2026

By Meg Andersen · May 27, 2026

South Burlington in late July is worth the drive on its own. Add KALEO bringing the Way Down We Go Tour to Higher Ground’s 750-capacity Ballroom, and you have one of the better reasons to point the car north this summer.

About KALEO

KALEO is an Icelandic rock band from Mosfellsbær, just outside Reykjavik, formed in 2012 by childhood friends who have since accumulated over 6 billion global streams and earned more than 70 international gold, platinum, and diamond certifications. The four-piece — JJ Julius Son on vocals and guitar, Rubin Pollock on guitar, Daniel Kristjansson on bass, and David Antonsson on drums — makes the kind of guitar-driven rock that turns up everywhere: Yellowstone, Grey’s Anatomy, Suits, EA Sports games. You already know “Way Down We Go” — it hit number one on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart, has nearly 4 billion streams, and appeared in over 3 million TikToks. But A/B goes deeper than any single track. “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and a catalog that has earned them sets at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo.

This summer’s run has extra weight behind it. The Way Down We Go Tour is a 10th anniversary celebration of A/B, paired with a deluxe edition out June 10 via Rhino Records — double vinyl, eight bonus tracks, studio rarities, and iconic live recordings. JJ Julius Son said it plainly: “This year’s tour will be even more special considering we’re commemorating ten years since the release of A/B. We are truly honored that the music still means so much to so many people and we’re planning an entirely new show we think our fans are going to love.”

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Vincent Lima opens the night.
