Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams at Daryl’s House | January 27, 2027

By Marc Delacroix · October 25, 2026

After eight years in Bob Dylan’s touring band and a long residency anchoring Levon Helm’s Midnight Rambles in Woodstock — where Campbell served as musical director and producer for Helm’s band and three of his albums — Larry Campbell has spent the years since building a recording catalog with his partner Teresa Williams that feels like the natural result of all that schooling. Patient, multi-instrumental Americana that moves between R&B, country, folk, and bluegrass without fully settling into any of them. The two play Daryl’s House in Pawling on Wednesday, January 27, 2027.

About the Show

Campbell and Williams are touring behind All This Time (2024, Royal Potato Family Records), their fourth studio album. Campbell describes it as “feels more intuitive to me than the earlier records, less experimental” — and the origins were hard-won: he contracted severe COVID-19 in 2020 and spent six weeks ill while isolated in Woodstock, separated from Williams. “When you come that close to losing your mortality, you start thinking how vital it was to have this relationship with her,” he told Folk Alley. That reckoning carries through the album’s ten tracks, seven of them Campbell originals, ranging from an energetic country opener (“Desert Island Dreams”) to a Memphis-soul groove (“I Think About You,” featuring Bill Payne of Little Feat on organ) to “That’s All It Took,” a pedal-steel country number that carries drums from the late Levon Helm. Chronogram called the album Americana that “both defines and transcends the genre, merging R&B and country influences with deep, sultry grooves.”

The two met in a Manhattan rehearsal studio in the mid-1980s — Campbell was brought in to play pedal steel while Williams, a vocalist and actress from Tennessee, was competing in a singing contest. “For me, it was love at first note,” Williams has said. They have been together since 1986. Campbell plays pedal steel, mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar, and bass; Williams handles lead vocals and guitar. Their discography runs from a self-titled debut (2015) through Contraband Love (2017) and Live at Levon’s (2023) to the current release.
