We Three Kings at Penn’s Peak | December 11, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · September 3, 2026

Justin Boros accumulated 24 years of touring as a professional Irish dancer (his resume includes time with Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance) before concluding that the Christmas show he actually wanted to make didn’t exist yet. We Three Kings: The Irish Dance Christmas Sensation, making its national touring debut in 2026, is his answer to that gap. The show plays Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe on Friday, Dec. 11.

About the Show

The production uses the Three Magi story as its spine and builds something more theatrical around it. The kings journey westward, where the Sugar Plum Fairy and her dark soldiers have trapped King Balthazar in the Four Realms, threatening the Christmas Spirit itself — a story the show frames as a celebration of “hope, love, and salvation” told through Irish dance and original music. That narrative unfolds across 22 scenes, scored by composer Joe Sanders, who has called working on it “an incredible experience” shaped by Boros’s “clear artistic vision,” and staged with state-of-the-art lighting and cinematic production design. Twenty Irish dancers and musicians make up the cast. Boros created, wrote, produced, and directed the entire production; choreographer Eric Crone has said the arrangements “truly set this show on another level.”

Advance reaction from industry presenters is strong. A Tampa presenter that has booked Boros’s previous shows “season after season” called We Three Kings its most anticipated Christmas booking: “We are more excited about this than any other Christmas show.” Irish Rhythms called the score “a cinematic Holiday masterpiece,” and a Los Angeles talent agent described the show’s “imagery, storyline, and theme” as possessing “all elements of a legacy production.” Boros has stated his ambition plainly: he wants We Three Kings to become “a Christmas staple for families to experience and share each Holiday season.” The 2026 national tour is where that proposition gets tested at scale.
