When legendary songwriter Harlan Howard first heard Sara Evans sing, he compared her voice to Loretta Lynn’s — a reference that locates her inside a specific country tradition, the kind of voice that holds something back until it doesn’t. George Jones handpicked her to open a special Nashville show before her own debut had even arrived, an early endorsement that speaks to how quickly Evans registered as something worth paying attention to. She signed with RCA, released Three Chords and the Truth in 1997, and built a catalog that now includes five No. 1 singles: “No Place That Far,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” “Born to Fly,” and “A Little Bit Stronger.” Born to Fly, the 2000 album that broke her to a wider country audience, went double-platinum. In late 2023, she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. Her eleventh studio album, Unbroke, arrived in June 2024 on Melody Place Records.
The Holiday Road Tour pairs those originals with seasonal favorites in what Evans’s press describes as “classic holiday hits and festive favorites you know and love.” Fifteen of her songs have charted in the top 20 on country radio, which gives her an unusual depth to draw from; an evening that can move between a Christmas standard and a decade-old hit without losing the thread.

Penn’s Peak sits in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, making it a destination show for the Hudson Valley region. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the 8:00 p.m. show.
