Lindsey Stirling competed as a finalist on America’s Got Talent in 2010, playing electronic violin in a format the show’s producers had no obvious category for. What followed — a platinum debut album, four chart-topping Billboard releases, and now a ninth consecutive holiday arena tour — amounts to one of the more instructive reversals in recent music history. The Snow Waltz Tour brings that story to Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, December 2, with a production including aerial acrobatics, elaborate choreography, and theatrical staging Stirling has grounded in the aesthetics of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Harry Potter.
About the Show
The tour takes its name from Snow Waltz, Stirling’s second holiday album, which topped the Classical Albums chart and reached No. 2 on the Holiday chart. The first, Warmer in the Winter (2017), debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums chart and has since earned gold certification. The broader catalog has earned two Billboard Music Awards, including recognition for Brave Enough as Top Dance/Electronic Album. Among the holiday catalog’s standout moments: “Carol of the Bells,” the only instrumental song ever to reach the Top 10 at AC radio. This 25-city tour pairs holiday classics with original compositions; Snow Waltz featured collaborators including David Archuleta, Bonnie McKee, and Mark Ballas. The production is billed as “whimsical yet daring,” incorporating aerial work, choreography, and large-scale visuals alongside arrangements that draw from Celtic, flamenco, rock, and electronic influences. Her most recent full-length, Duality (2024), added a roster of guest artists.
Supporting all dates is ARKAI, a Grammy-winning violin-cellist duo and Juilliard School graduates who have performed at Carnegie Hall, the Grammy Museum, and the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. The résumé signals a tour that takes its support billing seriously.
