About Mariah The Scientist
Born Mariah Amani Buckles in Atlanta, she studied biology at St. John’s University before signing with RCA in 2019 and building one of the more compelling catalogs in contemporary R&B. Her fourth studio album, Hearts Sold Separately (Epic Records, 2025), runs on a single concept: the war on love. Military imagery is woven through the cover art, the visuals, and the production itself — most deliberately on lead single “Burning Blue,” which broke into the Billboard Top 30 and earned her first Gold certification.
