Max B walked out of prison on November 9, 2025, and moved like he had somewhere to be. The Harlem rapper who coined “wavy” — whose melodic, nearly-sung delivery helped lay the groundwork for a style that now defines New York rap — has a fall solo circuit running, and the October 3 stop is in Buffalo.
About the Show
The major 2026 release is Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers, the collaborative album with French Montana that arrived April 24 through Coke Boys Records and Defiant Records/EMG, featuring Rick Ross and Ye. That project followed Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos, a 22-track mixtape with production from Metro Boomin, Harry Fraud, Dame Grease, Murda Beatz, and DJ Clue, among others. The lead single from the album, “Ever Since U Left Me,” went to number one on both the Rhythmic Radio Chart and the Rhythmic Airplay Chart, logging more than 25 million global streams, 23 million YouTube views, and 220 million TikTok sound views. For Max B, it was his first rhythmic chart number one.
French Montana and Max B ran the Narcos Tour together from May through July. This October run is Max B’s own. Solo dates through Long Beach in September, then Boston, then Reading, Pennsylvania on October 2, with Buffalo the following night. No supporting acts are listed for this date.
The return is the headline, but the catalog is the foundation. Max B has been making music since 2005, starting with a featured appearance on Jim Jones’ City of God mixtape. He founded ByrdGang and dropped Million Dollar Baby in 2006, and the Coke Wave series he developed with French Montana found a devoted following in the New York hip-hop underground. His style, described by sources as “street rap, part melody, part effortless slang,” was being sung before melodic rap became what rap was supposed to do. He worked alongside Cam’ron and Jim Jones through The Diplomats and ByrdGang, and Jay-Z shouted him out on 3 Kings. The Source called the two-decade Montana–Max B catalog “one of New York rap’s most legendary.” The scene caught up to what he was building. He is out, touring, and charting.
