If the name Scoochie Boochie doesn’t ring a bell yet, give it until September. His January 2025 viral run — music videos for “I Have Sex” and “Car Butt” that pulled in more than 400,000 new fans — introduced a lot of people to an artist who had already been quietly building something weird and wonderful for a decade. Now he is touring behind his sixth album, The Drinking Fountain of Youth, and he is coming to The Song & Dance on Sunday, September 20.
About Scoochie Boochie
The easiest shorthand is “The Lonely Island plus lore.” Scoochie Boochie blends rap, comedy, and an interconnected narrative universe — the Scoochiverse — built across five albums since 2015, with cinematic skits linking songs throughout. He came up in the comedy scenes of Grand Rapids and Chicago, grinding for a decade before the viral moment landed. The sold-out run at the Beachland in Cleveland late last year tells you something: this is not just an internet flash. The fans who found him in early 2025 have been going back through the catalog, and the catalog is deep.
The Drinking Fountain of Youth is the sixth chapter in that universe. Expect sharp wordplay, oddball premises, and shockingly catchy flows. Groovebox opens the night.
The Venue
The Song & Dance sits on East Jefferson Street in downtown Syracuse — a 200-capacity bar and music venue with one of the more eclectic calendars in the city. Drag shows, dance parties, rock, electronic, hip-hop: the room does not lock itself into a single genre, which means the crowd on any given night is actually there for the show. Doors open at 7:00 PM, show at 8:00 PM. Age policy: 16 and up with valid ID; under 16 admitted with a parent or legal guardian; no one under 12 admitted. If you are bringing a younger fan, plan accordingly.
Tickets
Admission is free — tickets are available now on Ticketweb. The show is presented by After Dark Presents.
