Riley Green’s fourth album, That’s Just Me, opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 last September — the highest debut of his career, and a reasonable sign that the Alabama singer-songwriter has cleared whatever ceiling used to separate him from country’s first tier. The That’s Just Me Tour brings that record, and everything behind it, to the Empower FCU Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse on Thursday, July 15, 2027.
About the Show
Green grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama, raised on the country his grandfather played: Merle Haggard, Roy Acuff, George Jones. That lineage threads through the new album explicitly, with the title track drawing on details from his hometown, including the E.L. Green Store and its 94-year-old owner. “There’s a lot of truth in the songs,” he said in a 2026 interview. “If it’s not about something that actually happened to me, it’s about something that’s happened in my life.” Co-produced with Dann Huff on Nashville Harbor, the 19-track record moves from the solo-penned opener “My Way” to the Toby Keith-sampling lead single “Think As You Drunk,” with guest turns from Randy Owen of Alabama and Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn. Green’s seventh No. 1 came in June 2026 with “Change My Mind,” and the 2026 NSAI named him Artist Songwriter of the Year. His Stagecoach 2027 headlining slot was announced in the same window as this tour, a positioning that says something about how the industry has reassessed him.
The 29-date North American run stretches from April 1 through July 31. The Syracuse date arrives with a full supporting card: Muscadine Bloodline, the Alabama-born Southern country rock duo, opens alongside Jake Worthington, runner-up on Season 6 of The Voice and featured on the album track “Well Well Whiskey,” and Hannah McFarland, a frequent Green collaborator whose voice appears on “Go Again.” The tour also carries a charitable component: $1 per ticket supports local schools through a Friday Night Lights partnership, with an additional $2 per ticket directed to the Buford Bonds Charitable Fund.
