Twenty-five years into a career built on holding the line (same four members since the University of North Texas in 2000, writing their own songs, playing their own instruments), Eli Young Band brings the Keep on Dreaming Tour to Turning Stone’s Showroom this December with a catalog deep enough to fill a night without reaching. The tour’s name draws directly from the lyrics of their triple-Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” which is either a declaration of intent or a banner for the past two and a half decades of it, depending on the night.
About the Show
The tour follows a productive 2026 for the band. In May, they released Life At Best (15 Years Deluxe), a commemorative reissue of their 2011 studio album with previously unreleased demos and alternate versions, the record that produced the 3X Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and gave the current run its name. Alongside it, the band released Strange Hours through UnLevel Records, 13 tracks recorded at Panhandle House Studio in Denton, Texas, the city where Mike Eli, James Young, Jon Jones, and Chris Thompson first played together as music students. They built their early following through Texas country’s grassroots circuit before expanding into arenas (their touring history includes stadium runs alongside Kenny Chesney and stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre), and that road time shows in the live show. Their catalog runs four No. 1 singles deep: “Crazy Girl,” the 5X Platinum CMA Song of the Year winner, anchors the set in history, while “Drunk Last Night” and “Love Ain’t” add Platinum chart-toppers to the ledger. Multiple Grammy nominations have accumulated alongside. Over 3 billion career streams attend them wherever they play; at this point the grassroots vocabulary they’ve always used about themselves is less a description than a long-standing habit.
Venue & Logistics
The Showroom at Turning Stone Resort Casino is the property’s main performance room, a 5,000-capacity space in Verona that draws national touring talent to central New York. For a band with a catalog this deep, it’s a sensible room. Showtime is 8:00 p.m.
