The albums are The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall — the eight-year stretch that defines what most people, when pressed, mean by “Pink Floyd.” Roger Waters built LEGACY to put those songs back on a stage, under his direction, with a 10-piece band led by his son Harry. He will not be performing himself. That, in the context of everything this catalog carries, may be the most clarifying thing about this production.
About the Show
LEGACY – A Pink Floyd Show comes to the Mainstage Theatre on April 13 as part of a 58-date North American tour, its first leg running from February 15 through May 2, 2027. Musical director Harry Waters spent more than 15 years on the road with his father, playing The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon tours and the 2016 Desert Trip festival alongside the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. His connection to this material runs deeper than the résumé suggests: his childhood voice is already on The Wall, singing “Goodbye Blue Sky.” He leads the Mainstage performance on B3 organ, piano, and vocals.
Roger directs the staging and visuals — high-definition LED screens built around imagery from Pink Floyd’s original creative work — but does not perform. The production’s lead vocalist is Clifton David Broadbridge, a Canadian-born, Nashville-based singer chosen from more than 3,000 worldwide audition submissions. Harry’s stated aim is unambiguous: “We are going to authentically recreate the albums as close to note-for-note as we possibly can.” The full 10-piece band includes Graham Broad on drums, guitarists Edo Scordo and Antonello Pudva, backing vocalists Eva Avila and Genevieve Little, Dahniel Knight on bass, and keyboardists Ryan Saranich and Matt Riddle. The show runs over two hours. UB Center for the Arts executive director Jamie Enser describes it as a production that “carries that legacy forward for a new generation.”
Venue & Logistics
The Mainstage Theatre at the UB Center for the Arts in Buffalo seats 1,748 — a notably contained frame for music that has filled outdoor amphitheaters for decades, and a booking that brings LEGACY’s first leg into the western New York market. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
