Scott Woodruff never signed to a major label, never brought in outside producers, and never stopped growing. What began as a self-distributed recording project, with Woodruff trading bootleg CDs in a Massachusetts high school, has expanded into a catalog that has crossed one million copies sold and three billion streams entirely on its own terms. The Enjoy the Ride Summer Tour 2027 brings Stick Figure to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Sunday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m.
About the Show
The live band now runs seven deep — keyboards, percussion, bass, and backing vocals expanding Woodruff’s roots-dub reggae sound with electronic orchestration and psychedelic shadings, drawing comparisons that run from Bob Marley to Sublime to Tame Impala. The Bethel Woods date is part of a Live Nation-produced North American amphitheater run stretching from Phoenix (June 3) to The Gorge (July 17). A new studio album is expected before the tour launches, following Wisdom (2022) and World on Fire (2019) — the latter peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 on both the Independent and Reggae charts. The 2022 tour ran nearly sold-out from start to finish, averaging over 4,200 tickets per show, built entirely on word-of-mouth with no label apparatus behind it. The 2019 single “Angels Above Me” picked up a second wave of attention when an AI-derivative version circulated widely on TikTok, a reminder that the original has the kind of melodic hold that invites borrowing. The band released this summer’s dates roughly a year in advance, specifically so fans could plan around them. Live, the show incorporates extended improvisational interludes, dense bass, and audience sing-alongs, plus the entrance of Cocoa, the band’s rescued Australian Shepherd who travels the circuit as a billed member of the touring operation. Support on the Bethel Woods date comes from The Elovaters and Harry Mack, with SensaMotion on the Horizon Stage.
