The Roxanne Delage Band at The Port Theatre | December 18, 2026

By Meg Andersen · October 20, 2026

After two decades fronting cover bands and a long stretch in professional theatre, Roxanne Delage has built a sound she calls “gypsy fusion” — folk, blues, pop, country, jazz, and theatrical music pulling toward the same place. On Friday, December 18, she and her band bring Home For Christmas 2026 to The Port Theatre in Cornwall, Ontario.

About the Show

Delage is a Cornwall singer-songwriter whose sonic range runs wider than most. Her influences stretch from Elvis to kd lang, a distance that covers a lot of ground, and her work fuses the intimacy of folk with the theatrical instincts of a performer who has spent years on professional stages.

Her most ambitious recent project, Gypsy Melodies – A Folk Opry, made its Port Theatre debut in February 2025. The autobiographical production was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic, exploring what Delage describes as “love and loss and a long road home,” and took a year and a half to record. The 20-song soundtrack was produced by Cornwall musician Marc Muir, who shaped the project’s sound from the first session. “After our first meeting, I felt that he intrinsically knew what I wanted,” Delage said. Three of the songs honor her late mother, with “She Made Everything Beautiful” singled out as particularly poignant. The project also came paired with a 64-page companion book of lyrics, poems, stories, and photographs, and was staged with a nine-piece ensemble in a full theatrical presentation.

Home For Christmas 2026 is a standalone holiday show, not a sequel to Gypsy Melodies, but it brings the same artist back to the same stage. Delage has described her aspirations simply: “I hope this show…inspires those with a dream to keep it alive.”
