Here is something I did not expect to get excited about until I read the fine print: The Sixties Show is not a tribute act in the usual sense. It bills itself as “The Greatest 1960’s Musical Recreation Show on Earth,” and when you look at who is actually on stage, that claim starts to hold up.
About The Sixties Show
This is an off-Broadway production — a fully staged, multimedia concert experience built around live, note-for-note recreations of 1960s music. No backing tracks. No pre-recorded anything. Every note played live, by a cast that includes current and former band members from The Who, The Rascals, and the CCR camp — John Fogerty’s Creedence Clearwater Revival. That is a serious pedigree for a touring show.
Fan reviews back it up: a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 93 reviews on Ticketmaster, with audiences specifically calling out the note-for-note accuracy. The production also skews toward deep cuts and B-sides rather than leaning on the ten songs everybody already knows. Vintage film footage from the era rolls alongside the live performances, and a pre-show trivia game gets the room warmed up before the first chord lands. Think less “tribute band” and more immersive time capsule — one that plays very loud. The show is part of an active 2026 national touring schedule, stopping in Rochester on its way through the Northeast this summer.
