The distinction worth drawing about REPRISE is that they don’t simply play Phish songs — they reconstruct Phish shows. Specific, named performances with their original setlists intact. At their May 2026 Brooklyn Bowl date, the band reprised the 12/30/94 Madison Square Garden show. That is a materially different proposition than a tribute act cycling through a rotating greatest-hits set, and Albany gets to evaluate the difference at Lark Hall on Saturday, October 17.
About the Show
REPRISE is a New England all-star collective assembled with one stated purpose: faithful recreation of iconic Phish concert experiences. The four-piece draws from the region’s working jam circuit. Cal Kehoe, longtime frontman of Pink Talking Fish, handles guitar and vocals. Drummer Adrian Tramontano comes from Twiddle and Kung Fu and The Breakfast. Scott Chasolen — founding member of Ulu and keyboardist for The Machine, the Pink Floyd tribute band — covers keys. Bassist Chris DeAngelis, a multi-instrumentalist and composer with The Machine and Kung Fu and The Breakfast, holds the low end. Together they work across Phish’s catalog: a sound that blends funk, reggae, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, folk, country, jazz, blues, bluegrass, electronic, and pop in improvisational measure. That range is not a trivial challenge for four musicians to execute faithfully.
A May 2025 performance at Soundcheck Studios earned the band the description “the best Phish cover band” from RockDNA Mag reviewer Joanna Gleason, who noted the audience spent the evening singing, dancing, and jumping throughout. The Lark Hall show runs 8 p.m. to midnight — four hours. REPRISE recently signed with Crossover Touring and carries 15 confirmed dates in 2026 across seven states, a footprint that has grown well beyond the regional tribute circuit. The organizer bills this as a “welcome back” to Lark Hall, which means the room has seen them before and found them worth repeating.
Venue & Logistics
Lark Hall occupies a 1916 building at 351 Hudson Ave in Albany, the former home of the Daughters of the Eastern Star and now a 300-capacity venue on the Capital Region live music circuit. That capacity matters here: REPRISE is recreating material from a band whose natural habitat is outdoor amphitheaters and arenas, which makes this the intimate version of that experience. Doors open at 7 p.m. Under-18 attendees are welcome with a parent or legal guardian. Free parking is available.
