Chest Fever: 50th Anniversary of The Last Waltz at Colony Woodstock | October 13, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · August 27, 2026

Fifty years after The Band staged their farewell at what became one of the most documented evenings in rock history, Chest Fever arrives in Woodstock this October with The Last Waltz: The 50th Anniversary Tour, carrying the explicit approval of the late Robbie Robertson and The Band Official Estate. The geography is not incidental: The Band spent formative years in the Hudson Valley, their debut album named after a house just outside this town. Colony Woodstock, at 150 capacity, is about as far from a grand farewell arena as you can get. Which, for a concert like this, may be exactly the right frame.

About the Show

Chest Fever is the alter ego of San Diego Music Award-winning rock band Mrs. Henry, a project born from a single Solana Beach, California concert in 2022 that brought together Eagles collaborator Jack Tempchin, Black Crowes member Marc Ford, and other guests to perform The Band’s catalog. That one-off show had enough pull to grow into a full North American touring operation; since then, Chest Fever has performed across nearly every U.S. state and Canadian province, released three albums of The Band’s material, and sold out Toronto’s Massey Hall in November 2023 on the 45th anniversary of The Last Waltz. The five-member ensemble (Daniel Cervantes, Jody Bagley, Blake Dean, Allan Ritter, and Doug Organ) features three lead vocalists, structurally mirroring The Band’s own multi-singer arrangement. Relix Magazine has called them “faithful, but updated with a bit more teeth.”

The Colony performance follows the format the group has honed on this tour: the complete Last Waltz, performed in its entirety, with an all-star local horn section and local guest performers filling the roles of the original star-studded cast — the parts held by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Joni Mitchell at the 1976 concert. The show runs 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Venue & Logistics

Colony Woodstock describes itself as “The Smartest Rendezvous in the Catskills,” a billing that dates to the venue’s 1929 origins. The space operates as a music venue and ballroom at 22 Rock City Road in Woodstock, NY, with a capacity of 150, close enough to the stage to matter. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is all ages; attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
