Oso Oso at Rec Room | October 11, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · September 17, 2026

Jade Lilitri has been making records as Oso Oso long enough (six full-lengths now) that the project has outgrown any single genre tag. Long Island emo, indie rock, pop-punk: the press reaches for all three, and none sticks completely. What counts more, heading into the October 11 show at Rec Room in Buffalo, is where he’s arriving from: an exchange of information, his sixth LP, drops November 6 on Feral Twin, a new label founded by Hop Along drummer Mark Quinlan — and this album is its inaugural release.

About the Show

Quinlan described Feral Twin as built from “wanting to take everything I’ve learned from those different sides of the industry and build something intentional where every release matters.” That the label’s first release goes to Lilitri, an artist at his sixth album, the kind of project where the catalog becomes its own influence, suggests a certain alignment of intent. Lilitri put the creative logic plainly: “You get to a point where you are on your sixth LP for a particular project and it’s almost like the previous releases themselves become an influence.” Press describes an exchange of information as “a big sounding rock record” that pulls from indie rock, emo, and pop-punk; the lead single, “know you know me better,” built around pop-punk dynamics and a chorus that “keeps building before breaking wide open,” makes that case. The Buffalo date falls less than a month before the album officially releases, which means this crowd hears much of the new record before it’s available anywhere else. The show is part of a 32-date North American headline run, October 7 through November 24. On the bill: Leisure Hour and Bad Luck. (the East Coast openers for the full October leg), plus local addition The Weather Might Say Otherwise. Leisure Hour log 100-plus shows annually by their own account; their 2026 record ..and to think covers grief, self-reflection, love, and the repetition of constant motion. After Dark Presents is the promoter.
