Sunny Days! – Songs of The Muppets at Colony Woodstock | October 18, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · September 11, 2026

The Muppet Show debuted in 1976. Fifty years later, it still generates the kind of affection that gets people into a room on a Sunday night — which is why Eric Squindo’s “Sunny Days! – Songs of The Muppets” at Colony Woodstock on October 18 feels less like nostalgia programming and more like a legitimate occasion.

About the Show

“Sunny Days! – Songs of The Muppets” is the latest production in Squindo’s ongoing “Eric Squindo Presents” tribute series, which he launched in 2019. As a songwriter, performer, and producer, Squindo has become a well-regarded figure in the Hudson Valley music scene; his Americana and alternative folk work includes a 2003 solo album, Roadsick, recognized by the Asbury Park Press as one of the year’s top ten releases. He is also a founding member of Mister Roper, whose self-titled album was produced by “Professor” Louie Horowitz and featured Tim O’Brien and John Platania. His “Eric Squindo Presents” series has applied the same curatorial care to tribute concerts, with prior productions focused on John Prine, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan with The Band.

The Muppets installment draws from Sesame Street, The Muppet Movie, and other Henson film and television properties, performed by an ensemble cast of local musicians. The show runs approximately three hours.

The timing reflects a genuine anniversary moment: 2026 marks the 50th year of The Muppet Show’s original run and what would have been Jim Henson’s 90th birthday (September 24). The year has already produced a Muppet Show anniversary special on ABC and Disney+ in February. This Colony show is the Hudson Valley’s entry into that wider commemorative conversation.

Children under 12 are admitted free.

Venue & Logistics

Colony Woodstock, at 22 Rock City Road, is in a building that has been part of the Woodstock cultural landscape since 1929. The Colony Hotel originally attracted guests who came to dine and listen to big bands in the great room. The place still bills itself as “The Smartest Rendezvous in the Catskills,” and for a three-hour tribute to Jim Henson’s musical world, the fit is right. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the Sunday, October 18 show.

Tickets

Tickets are $23–$29. Children under 12 are admitted free. The event operates under a no-refunds policy. Buy tickets
