Sweet City Woman, written by guitarist Rich Dodson and released in 1971, sold over three million copies worldwide, reached number one in Canada and the top five on the U.S. Billboard chart, and was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006. The band won four Juno Awards that year — Best Group, Best Single, Best Producer, Best Composer — and spent the stretch from 1971 to 1976 touring North America, South America, and Europe more extensively than any other Canadian act of the era. The “One More Time” framing on this Ontario run carries particular weight: original bassist Ronnie King died in March 2024, and the surviving members are carrying the catalog forward with Dave Chabot on bass, honoring King’s memory at every date with stories and a retrospective video built into the show.
