The M80’s built their appeal on a distinction most tribute acts on the casino circuit never bother working out: the 1980s were as much a visual medium as they were a sonic one. Their show, The World’s Largest 80s Party, runs the band’s live performance alongside synchronized original MTV music videos — the full multimedia experience that defined the decade, reconstructed for a room. Journey on screen, Journey in the room. They played The Vine Showroom at del Lago last May; they return to the same stage on Friday, March 19, 2027, at 8:00 p.m.
About the Show
M80’s has been running this production since 2018, describing it as “a fully immersive LIVE video and audio 80s party” and taking it to venues worldwide. The premise is more demanding to execute than it reads: live musicians perform while the decade’s iconic MTV clips run on screen alongside them, collapsing the gap between a concert and a communal viewing event for anyone who has these images stored alongside the songs. The catalog includes Journey, Twisted Sister, Duran Duran, Poison, Michael Jackson, and Def Leppard. These are acts that defined both arena rock and early MTV’s rotation, artists whose videos landed as cultural events in their own right. M80’s treats that visual layer as co-equal to the live performance, not as wallpaper behind it. The May 2026 date at del Lago was their first at The Vine Showroom; the return booking for March 2027 suggests the show connected with the room’s audience. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in character: 80s fits, band tees, and costumes all qualify.
Venue & Logistics
The show is at The Vine Showroom inside del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo, Seneca County, placing it squarely in the Finger Lakes region. Del Lago describes The Vine as acoustically superior to any other entertainment site in the area — self-promotion that the room’s track record of bookings does something to support — and it has been voted Gold in Best Night Club in the Finger Lakes. The resort also offers hotel accommodations on-site. The age restriction matters for planning: this is a 21-and-over event. The box office opens at 4 p.m. on the night of the show.
