Night Ranger’s Waterloo date on November 7 is the final stop on a three-night Northeast run — North Tonawanda on the 5th, Mashantucket on the 6th — before the band pivots west. They arrive in the Finger Lakes touring behind Best Of Night Ranger, a compilation due August 28 through Frontiers Music Srl that gathers remixed and remastered classics alongside newer material. For a group that has performed on more than 4,000 stages over four decades, The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino’s 1,400-seat room is familiar enough territory. For this corner of the Rochester / Finger Lakes region, it is a booking worth noting.
About Night Ranger
The San Francisco act formed in the early 1980s after the dissolution of Rubicon, with Jack Blades, Kelly Keagy, and Brad Gillis providing the core. Midnight Madness (1983) completed their transition from opening-act status to headliner by summer 1984; “Sister Christian” — written and sung by Keagy for his sister Christine, peaking at number five — became one of the era’s more enduring power ballads. “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” and “(You Can Still) Rock in America” built out a catalog that has since moved over 17 million copies worldwide.
The current five-piece adds guitarist Keri Kelli — whose résumé runs through Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne — and keyboardist Eric Levy, both in the lineup since the 2010s. The band’s 2023 collaboration with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover chart, a placement that says something useful about how far this catalog travels beyond its original genre designation. Best Of Night Ranger arrives August 28 with remixed and remastered signature tracks alongside material from the past twenty years. As Blades puts it: “The new Best Of is a celebration of not only our classic hits but also what we’ve created over the last 20 years, and we’re just gonna keep cranking it cause we’re having too much fun to stop.”
About the Venue
The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino sits at 1133 State Route 414 in Waterloo, within the Rochester / Finger Lakes corridor. At 1,400 capacity, it is a room that suits a legacy act of Night Ranger’s stature — large enough to function as a legitimate headliner booking, contained enough that the back row is not an afterthought. This is an ages-21-and-over show.
