Anthony Rodia sold out Paramount Hudson Valley the first time he played there. Then he sold it out again. On Saturday, November 21, he comes back for a third run at the 1,024-seat Peekskill theater — and at this point the room might as well have his name on the marquee.
About the Show
Rodia is a first-generation Italian-American comedian from Westchester, New York, whose material pulls from family dynamics, Italian-American cultural touchstones, and the particular absurdity of adult life: “family drama, generational gaps, and the strange things people do when they think no one is watching.” He initially broke through via viral social media characters, chief among them “Uncle Vinny,” an over-the-top sketch character that accumulated over 22 million YouTube views and built a fanbase of millions across platforms. Before comedy, he worked in the automotive industry; the move to full-time stand-up came through those videos and has kept pace with a national touring schedule that spans theaters, casinos, and performing arts centers across the country.
His debut Amazon Prime special, “Totally Relatable,” arrived in 2024. His follow-up, “Laugh Till It Hurts,” dropped August 4, 2026, on Prime Video and Apple TV through Comedy Dynamics and Super Nice Guys; it was filmed at the Count Basie Center for the Arts and directed by Charlie Fonville. The Insanely Funny Tour puts that new material on the road: fresh bits alongside lightning-fast improvisation and the crowd interaction that turns his sets into something closer to a conversation than a performance. His style runs physical: animated characters, heightened voices, a stage presence built for a room full of people. Shows typically run 75 to 90 minutes.
