Jimmy Carr at Slush Puppie Place | October 24, 2026

By Meg Andersen · July 20, 2026

Jimmy Carr has spent more than 25 years building one of the most efficiently ruthless setups in touring comedy: no support act, no band, no filler — just Carr and an arena full of people about to find out how far a one-liner can go before it circles back around to funny. The Laughs Funny tour reaches Kingston on Saturday, October 24, at Slush Puppie Place.

About the Show

Laughs Funny is all-new material, separate from Carr’s 2024 Netflix special Natural Born Killer, and the arena format runs approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. The show centers on Carr’s signature approach: rapid-fire dark one-liners and sharp crowd work. Kingston’s venue page promises “a night full of bold, clever humour that only Jimmy can deliver.” His official tour page cuts to the premise: the show exists to make you laugh by being funny.

The Kingston stop is part of Carr’s largest Canadian tour to date: 31 cities coast to coast, opening September 16 in Victoria and wrapping November 22 in St. John’s. His previous tour, Terribly Funny 2.0, sold more than one million tickets across 293 shows in 145 cities in a year. Laughs Funny launched in April 2024 and has already covered multiple continents by the time it reaches Ontario this fall.

For those who know Carr primarily from television, the live show is something else entirely: the same dark material, but faster, with crowd work that depends on reading the room. He hosted Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown for more than 20 years, and was the first UK comedian to sign a stand-up deal with Netflix, in 2015. His four Netflix specials run from Funny Business (2016) through Natural Born Killer (2024). He also has a film coming: Fackham Hall, a period parody he wrote, out December 5, 2026.

Venue & Logistics

Slush Puppie Place is a Kingston, Ontario arena at 1 The Tragically Hip Way, an address that signals something about how a city with deep roots in Canadian rock thinks about its venues. Kingston sits within reach of the north-country region, and Carr’s own tour site suggests making a full evening of it: book a table somewhere nearby before or after the show. Show time is 8:00 p.m. All ages.
