Two of early-2000s R&B’s most beloved names are coming to Albany together. Ashanti and Trey Songz co-headline MVP Arena on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 8 p.m., with Pleasure P and J. Holiday also on the bill. Tickets go on sale to the general public on April 21 at Ticketmaster.
A Full Night of Early-2000s R&B
Ashanti broke through in 2002 with a self-titled debut that went multi-platinum and produced a string of hits — “Foolish,” “Always on Time” (with Ja Rule), “Mesmerize.” Her voice and presence defined a particular era of radio R&B, and she’s been active in music and entertainment ever since. Trey Songz has his own long run of radio hits and remains a consistent draw on the touring circuit. Pleasure P and J. Holiday round out what amounts to a full evening of nostalgic R&B, built for an audience that grew up with this music.
MVP Arena with seating up to 17,500 is Albany’s major arena venue — the right scale for a co-headline show like this. If the early-2000s R&B nostalgia circuit has been on your radar, this is the Upstate stop you’ve been waiting for.
