For nearly three decades, Avenged Sevenfold has operated in their own lane, from Huntington Beach metalcore to something closer to progressive heavy metal by the time Life Is But a Dream… arrived in 2023. Good Charlotte has had a parallel but distinct arc: the pop-punk standard-bearers from Waldorf, Maryland who defined the sound of a generation and then, after seven years away, came back in August 2025 with Motel Du Cap sounding like they had something left to prove. The A7X x Good Charlotte 2026 North American Tour, which arrives at Centre Bell on Saturday, August 8, brings both bands into the same room for a co-headlining run built, as they put it, on “shared history, mutual respect, and musical connection.”

Announced December 8, 2025 and promoted by Live Nation, the tour covers 16 North American cities from late July through late August. Montreal is stop seven of sixteen. Avenged Sevenfold — M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ, and Brooks Wackerman — is touring behind the critically acclaimed Life Is But a Dream… (2023) and a new single, “Magic,” released December 6, 2025 and featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The band placed two consecutive albums at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200: Nightmare in 2010 and Hail to the King in 2013, and has built over a billion combined streams and video views. Known for large-scale creative production, A7X has the kind of stage show that an arena-sized room is built to receive.
Good Charlotte brings their eighth studio album, Motel Du Cap, released in August 2025, the band’s first in seven years. Joel and Benji Madden, Paul Thomas, and Billy Martin have accumulated over 11 million albums sold worldwide and 2.3 billion streams over a career that traces back to 1995. Rolling Stone praised Motel Du Cap‘s “unrelenting energy”; Paper magazine called Good Charlotte “one of the most influential career acts of the 21st century.” The Montreal date is part of Good Charlotte’s first North American tour since 2018, a gap long enough that it gives the whole run the feel of a return rather than a routine circuit.
