Babyfxce E’s flow is the kind you underestimate once: syrupy and punchline-heavy over sparse Flint production, a delivery built on clarity and cheeky wit even when the subject matter isn’t. The RIAA Gold-certified Atlantic Records signee brings The Xperience Tour to Empire Live on Tuesday, February 23, with The X Tape 2 out since October, a 21-track follow-up featuring 42 Dugg, BabyDrill, and Luhh Dyl.
About the Show
Concert Crave’s national run kicked off Dec. 1 at The Belasco in Los Angeles and carries through March 2027 across more than 20 cities. Albany falls in the northeastern stretch, following a New Haven stop on Feb. 18 and ahead of Toronto on Feb. 26. The X Tape 2, out in October 2026 via Atlantic Records, is the centerpiece: a sequel to the 2023 breakout The X Tape. The tracks getting the most circulation so far include “Bussin,” “Never Ending Run,” and “Pineapple Red,” the 42 Dugg collaboration that came with a video on release day.
Babyfxce E has been building in a straight line since “Six Flags” broke out in 2022. He came up in North Flint, started recording in 2021, and worked through Michigan collaborations with BabyTron and RMC Mike before signing with Atlantic in early 2024. His debut studio album, Da Realest (February 2026), drew press praise for hard-hitting production and bars built on wit and cheeky references. Standout tracks included “Trackhawk,” “Die Bout It,” and “ILRB,” with features from Rio Da Yung OG and Babyface Ray. The Da Realest cycle included a sold-out U.S. headline run with dates in Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York; before that, he held direct support on Babyface Ray’s Wavy Navy University Tour. He also appeared at the Strong Music Festival in Las Vegas on Oct. 30, sharing a bill with Yeat and Destroy Lonely — not bad positioning for a 23-year-old who only signed his major deal in early 2024. The X Tape 2 picks up that momentum.
