Twelve years is a long time to wait for a Buffalo show. Earl Sweatshirt — one of hip-hop’s most elusive and most compelling voices — is bringing the Home on the Range Tour to Town Ballroom on Thursday, October 22. If you have been paying attention to his catalog since Doris, this is the one.
About Earl Sweatshirt
Born Thebe Neruda Kgositsile, Earl rose to cult status as a teenager in Odd Future before a stint at a boarding school in Samoa became the subject of near-mythic anticipation from internet rap fans. His return produced Doris on Columbia Records — it debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and hit #1 on the Top Rap Albums chart — and kicked off a run of releases that have grown progressively more abstract and more interesting: I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside (2015), Some Rap Songs (2018), Sick! (2022), Voir Dire with The Alchemist (2023), and Live Laugh Love, released August 22, 2025.
The tour supports POMPEII // UTILITY, a 33-track double album released April 3, 2026 on 10k / Tan Cressida / SURF GANG Records — built from a working relationship nearly a decade in the making. The project pairs Earl and co-headliner MIKE‘s languid, introspective raps with production from New York collective SURF GANG. Harrison of SURF GANG joins select dates as support, and Buffalo is one of them.
This date was originally booked for July 1 before being rescheduled. October 22 it is — better season for a Buffalo drive anyway.
