Raised near Springfield, Missouri, Av Freeman started releasing music weekly in 2021 after losing his father and brother — a relentless creative output driven by grief and the need to say something. His debut EP hara-kiri (November 2024) introduced a sound that blends alternative, indie-folk, hip-hop, and pop in a way that felt genuinely new. Breakthrough single “I’d Rather Overdose” hit 88 million global streams and climbed to #22 on Billboard’s Alternative Radio Chart.
