Joey Harkum at Buffalo Iron Works | August 22, 2026
Here is the thing about Joey Harkum at Buffalo Iron Works on Saturday, August 22: he has been here before. Not just played-here before — recorded-a-live-album-here before. He cut Live at Buffalo Iron Works in this exact room back in 2018, which means this show is already a homecoming before the first song even starts.
About Joey Harkum
Harkum is from Pasadena, Maryland, and he comes from a musical family — his father played bass in a local funk band, and by age seven Joey was already being pulled onstage to perform. He spent over a decade as the lead singer and songwriter of Baltimore-based band Pasadena before stepping out on his own with his debut solo album, Love and Labor, in 2016.
The solo catalog has grown steadily since: Storyboard (2021), Salt and Tar (Spring 2022), and The Art of Revenge in March 2024. His songwriting is folk-roots in the truest sense — emotionally direct, story-driven, the kind of lyrics that are still in your head on the drive home. His Northeast following is devoted in a way you only build through years of road work and actually showing up.
The Venue
Buffalo Iron Works is a 500-capacity club in Buffalo that books the kind of touring singer-songwriters who earn their rooms rather than fill them on name recognition alone. For Harkum, this one carries more weight than a typical tour stop. Showtime is 8:00 PM. If you are anywhere in the Buffalo / Western NY region, this is a Saturday night worth clearing the calendar for.
