If you spent any significant part of the early 2000s with the Disney Channel on in the background, here is the Saturday you have been quietly waiting for. Bop to the Top — now in its fourth year as a touring show — hits the Showcase Lounge at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Saturday, August 8. Doors open at 9 PM. You have to be 18 or older to get in, no exceptions.
About Bop To The Top
This is a DJ-led dance party built entirely around the Disney Channel catalog that defined a generation: High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, Cheetah Girls, Lemonade Mouth, That’s So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Resident DJs Jeffery the DJ and Life by Michael run the room for approximately three hours — music videos, full crowd participation, on-stage dancing. This is not a concert you watch from the back with your arms crossed.
Year 4 of the tour is anchored to a milestone: 20 years of Hannah Montana and High School Musical. The 2026 run spans more than 70 dates across the US, Canada, and the UK, with stops ranging from intimate club rooms to the Hollywood Palladium and the Brooklyn Paramount. South Burlington is one of those stops — and the Showcase Lounge is exactly the right-sized room for a night like this.
Costumes are encouraged (Disney Channel character inspo is wide open), and themed cocktails will be on pour all night. Plan on three hours from start to finish.
Worth knowing: Lucas Grabeel — Ryan Evans from High School Musical — joins the tour on select nights. Follow @boptothetoptour on Instagram and TikTok for updates on your date.
About Higher Ground
Higher Ground is one of the anchor live music rooms in the Burlington area, and the Showcase Lounge is its more intimate configuration — the kind of space where a high-energy dance night stays close and loud from the first song to the last. The venue is at 1214 Williston Rd in South Burlington. If you are coming in from the North Country or driving up from points south, this is a solid August road trip with a destination worth the gas. Budget some time for a walk around Burlington before doors — it is a good city to spend a summer evening in before a 9 PM show.
Tickets & Info
Tickets start at $37.50. This is a strict 18+ event — check the FAQ at boptour.com/faq for venue-specific policy details. Nostalgia-driven dance nights in rooms like this one move fast, so do not sleep on it.
