Frog Alley Brewing has been quietly building one of the better live music calendars in the Capital District, and this September they are throwing a Friday night party worth the drive. Red NOT Chili Peppers — billed as the nation’s most active RHCP tribute act — hits the outdoor stage at 8:30 PM on September 11. Plan accordingly: this is a 21+ event.
About Red NOT Chili Peppers
Formed in 2009, Red NOT Chili Peppers have spent the better part of two decades doing the hard work of actually getting it right. This is not a tribute band running through the same three songs every night — the ensemble tours internationally (Dubai, Brazil, Mexico, Japan) and logs nearly 100 US shows a year. Their 2026 run stretches from Asheville, NC to Southern California, with Schenectady slotted right into the fall stretch. The Virginia Pilot put it plainly: “For folks who need a Peppers fix, the Red Nots are as close as it gets to the real thing.” They pull from the full RHCP catalog spanning multiple decades — the deep funk-driven cuts and the stadium anthems alike.
About Frog Alley Brewing
Frog Alley Brewing sits on State Street in downtown Schenectady — a 500-capacity craft brewery and taproom with an outdoor summer concert stage that has been drawing serious acts all season long. Fridays the taproom runs until midnight, which means you have time before and after the set to grab a pint without rushing. The venue carries a packed calendar — more than 50 events between May and November 2026 — spanning tribute acts, country artists, community events, and more.
